The appointment with the Turin International Book Fair is renewed every year in May at the Lingotto Fiere: the complex created in the area of the famous Fiat plant with the helical ramp and the roof track, designed between 1915 and 1922 by Giacomo Mattè Trucco, admired by Le Corbusier and transformed in 1985 by Renzo Piano into an exhibition and commercial center. The four pavilions of Lingotto Fiere. Almost fifty thousand square meters, 27 conference rooms, 330,000 visitors, 1,200 publishers, more than 1,200 meetings and debates, 2,000 guests, 3,000 journalists and accredited media operators in the five days of opening. These are the numbers that make the Salone the highest event in Italy dedicated to publishing, reading and culture and among the first in Europe. The Book Fair takes place between the beginning and the middle of May.
